Metro Ethernet and Ethernet over
Copper
Metro Ethernet is a kind of computer

Ethernet over Copper
Ethernet over copper (EOC) is
kind of technology which rapidly took over the share market from bonded T1
line circuits. In the past EOC was only accessible in the metro areas such
as NYC, its much larger in the network and is available now throughout USA.
Compared to
bonded T1 circuits Ethernet over circuit price is much lower
than that, and it’s easy to upgrade too.
DS3 customers are now looking
to upgrade their bandwidth because
Ethernet over copper is ideal at the
stage of T1. And it’s available at 2mb, 3mb, 4.5mb, 5mb, 6mb, 10mb, 15mb and
20mb speed. Ethernet over copper is delivered at the DSO so EOC does not
require expensive fiber to build it up and that is its greatest advantage.
